SHORT OVERALL REVIEW ON KOTE
Katsujin (Kote) offers good protection and better function. Its short and light kotebuton and the use of polyester for stuffing in kotegashira ensures that is easy to use and light weight. The use of Gunze Switorl-C mesh on kote menbuton gives it durability, quick drying, and good sweat absorption and anti-smell function. Though the kotebuton is slightly thin, yet it has enough hardness or elasticity to give good protection. Its kotegashira polyester stuffing is soft, though the amount and height the stuffing does provide great protection. The short distance between kera and the base of the thumb makes it easier to grip. The overall design shows it is best for practice and even competition. A good Kote for kendo player that practice frequently and trains in hot climate like southeast asia or africa. A kote that is great for experienced kendo player that goes for frequent travelling and require a light weight bogu and as a secondary set.
However, might not be suitable for practice with hard-hitting opponent.
