SHORT OVERALL REVIEW ON DO
Sora (Do) offers superb protection, superb function and aesthetic. Its 50 pieces bamboo dodai comes with two different weight, light or heavy. Thick, strong and elastic domune offers protection by dispersing incoming force from tsuki misblows. To allow kendoka to express fully themselves, there multiple design and colors they can choose from.
The Kazari comes in 4 design:
1) Sozashi (simple)
The 3 domune stitches:
1) goban-zashi (square stitch) design
2)Naname-zashi (diagonal stitch) design
The stitches comes in 2 color:
1)Noukon (deep purple)
2)Enji (dark red)
The Dodai comes in 3 color:
1) Black (pic)
2)Kijido ※+300$(transparent lacquer. Allows dodai to retain its natural cow leather texture)
3)Tamenuri ※+300$(deep red)
Hence, a great do for practice, grading and competition. It is great do for experienced and higher Dan kendoka. Functions well for both primary and secondary set.
However, its weight is not suitable for competitive kendoka that prefer light weight bogu for added edge in competition. It is also not meant for beginner and unsuitable for lower Dan kendoka.
