SHORT OVERALL REVIEW ON KOTE
Sora (Kote) offers superb protection, function and easy to use. Ichimaigawa-zukuri design thick and medium length kotebuton offers great protection and durability. Kotegashi is design following kongawaboushi-zukuri for added durability and stitched beautifully with Kon colored matsuri ito. Since this kote is for advance kendoka, more weight is given for comfort and functionality, hence, both right and left kote are symmetrical in design. Superb stuffing kera, kotegashira and wrist area ensures protection from blows even against hard-hitters or beginners while ensuring it is still allow great range of motion. Hence it is suited for practice, grading and competition. A great Kote for experienced player, higher Dan and also practical as a primary or secondary set.
However, its weight is not suitable for competitive kendoka that prefer light weight bogu for added edge in competition. It is also not meant for beginner and unsuitable for lower Dan kendoka.
