SHORT OVERALL REVIEW ON KOTE

Tough (Kote) offers good protection and better function. Kote is light weight and short kotebuton increase mobility and reduces hitting area for the opponent. Adequate Shikage (deer fur) filling on the kotegashira (kote head) near the joints makes it easy to use. The overall design shows it is best for competition. It is a good Kote for competitive practitioner, experienced player and also as a secondary set.

However, the short kotebuton and the shikage stuffing near the finger tips is adequate but might be thin for kendo beginners, practitioner that practice with hard-hitting opponent and female kendoka.
